CBS TV Signs With Content Recommendation Network Revcontent

Content recommendation network Revcontent has signed a deal with CBS Television Distribution for some of its first-run syndication TV shows.

CBS’ shows included in the deal include “Entertainment Tonight,” “Inside Edition,” “The Doctors,” “Rachael Ray” and “Dr. Phil.”

Revcontent’s technology allows its publishing clients to have control over what content can appear to readers. Revcontent’s algorithm uses image recognition recommending content that users are most interested in.

Revcontent partners include Forbes, Newsweek, Reuters and International Business Times. Advertising clients include PayPal, Jack Daniels, AirBnB, KFC and Lexus. The company says it serves over 200 billion content recommendations a month.

Last July, Revcontent estimated its business revenues were running on an annualized basis at around $200 million a year. Revcontent's main competitors in the content recommendation field include Taboola and Outbrain.
