Hewlett-Packard in a deal with MySpace

Posted March 5th, 2009 at 10:38 am by David Goetzl

Michael Mendenhall, CMO of Hewlett-Packard, says the company has embedded a branded HP print button on MySpace pages. The function allows MySpace users to easily print and share images from their pages.

"That's a lot of impressions on one of our most important (targets): young, savvy consumers," he said.

The sponsored print button is another example of how aggressive News Corp. is in looking for ways to weave ads within the social networking site.
