Topix - Chicago Based Advertising Sales Position
Topix, which provides over 13 million Americans with community discussion, news and conversations is looking to hire two ad sales representatives in Chicago. We’re backed by Gannett, Tribune and McClatchy and have been growing since 2004. (acronyms & jargon below should be part and parlance of your life in digital advertising and it makes you happy that you know them all) We have a great comp plan and this is a huge opportunity for someone who has worked selling online advertising to make bank. Our traffic consists of mainstream Americans who eat a lot of fast food, buy cars and go on vacation. We’d like you to know people at ad agencies focused on connecting their clients to QSR’s, brick-and-mortar retail chains and automotive. You hang out with people from ad agencies and they really like you. You can wield data from comScore and Quantcast in a way that puts your audience scores in a great light and understand what it means to work with a small team to make a tight deadline without alienating everybody in the process. You’re familiar with CRM systems and this is not your first salesforce login. We’re not a household name, but because you have so many friends at agencies, you know who has opportunities and can socially engineer your way into a meeting with the right people at the right time, and between those relationships, your charisma and our audience numbers get the RFP and make the sale.
