Porter Novelli - Media Buyer/Planner
Porter Novelli, a Global Communications firm, seeks an Account Supervisor to join PN AMP, Porter Novelli’s paid media team in Washington, DC. We are looking for a pro-active individual who understands all aspects of integrated communications with specific experience in digital paid media.
This individual will be responsible for management of media buying and planning either through internal resources or in coordination and collaboration with outside media buying companies. You will plan and direct integrated communications programs to include paid advertising, digital marketing, social media, and traditional PR. Full understanding and experience executing digital campaigns including search, display, analytics and optimization a must. Additionally, you must understand all aspects of campaign development including timelines, budgets, and basic production parameters talent management and art buying.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and direct integrated communications programs to include paid media, search, earned and social media, public affairs, broadcast, print and online design for advertising
Collaborate with account planning and research to develop account strategies
Plan, purchase and optimize paid media, with a strong emphasis on digital and search
Collaborate with creative teams and manage the production of digital and advertising materials
Represent employer during community projects and at public, social and business gatherings
Regularly contribute to new business pipeline and pitches
QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years agency experience
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field
Solid understanding of advertising and marketing principles
Strong background in digital media including search, display and digital media analytics including working with Google Adwords and Google Analytics
Google AdWords Certification preferred
Experience using Wordstream, WordWatch or other automation software preferred
Understanding of SEO and SEM
Strong written communication skills
Strong verbal communication skills: able to articulate thoughts persuasively one-on-one, in large and small groups, in formal and informal situations
Excellent time management and organizational skills: able to juggle conflicting priorities and meet objectives consistently with minimal internal stress
Proven/demonstrated supervisory experience
Able to build effective relationships with cross-functional teams including creative and research departments
Ability to anticipate client needs and quickly solve problems
Government experience is a plus
