Fidelity Investments - Senior Media Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Media plan development, client management and execution responsibility for Fidelity Personal Investing Local investor center and 529 college plans, Fidelity Workplace/TEM/Crossover plans and Fidelity Institutional FFAS plans. Decisions made directly impact the effectiveness and efficiency of advertising campaigns.  Must be able to work independently, develop and present strategic and thoughtful recommendations, negotiate with print publishers, and schedule print insertions,

  • With input from media director, set overall media strategies, channel mix recommendations and learning agendas to deliver on client marketing goals and objectives. Work closely with marketing partners, CKSI and digital agency to establish appropriate analytics and measurement reporting.
  • Responsible for delivering comprehensive media plan recommendations and presentations, coordinating planning and buying specifics across all channels.
  • Full responsibility for print and out of home channel portions of media plans.  Includes print media evaluation, selection (using all available research and audits), negotiation and scheduling recommendation.  Out of home evaluation and selection done in collaboration with out of home channel lead.  Provide direction and manage media buyer on all aspects of buy execution.
  • Manage and direct work of external agency for all digital and broadcast portions of the media recommendations.
  • Primary contact for all Fidelity marketing executives aligned with Local Marketing, 529, Workplace, Tax Exempt, Crossover and Fidelity Financial Advisor Solutions.  Includes establishing productive working relationships and handling day to day media management issues

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or equivalent training is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience.
  • Specific experience with local market media, national business to business campaigns and financial category is highly desirable

Skills/Knowledge  

  • Excellent Communication Skills – writing, presentation and relationship skills
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Media Expertise – in-depth knowledge of media planning principles, media research, current media developments.  
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial industry, including retail and B2B.
