Blab, Inc. - Sales Director, East Coast

Who We Are:

Blab is building the world’s Conversation Graph. Much like Google built the Knowledge Graph and Facebook built the Social Graph. Our proprietary technology classifies and patterns today’s online conversations in order to predict which will be important tomorrow. Media companies rely on BlabPredicts to understand what contextual trends to target, and to predict what specific interests will matter next, providing an accurate dataset on what contextual / interest targetting to buy up to 72 hours into the future – for both display and search.

 

Blab’s unprecedented algorithms organize and analyze the firehose of digital conversation in real-time to give brands an up-to-the-minute, unfiltered understanding of what matters to consumers in their own voice. Then we predict how those conversations will grow or subside, and where they will migrate by channel, for every ½ hour up to 72 hours in the future. 

 

Job Summary:

Blab has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Director to join our growing team.  In this critical role, the Sales Director will sell the BlabPredicts solution to media agencies, trading desks and other programmatic marketing audiences.  You will be responsible for building and managing your own business; identifying, sourcing, pitching, defining, negotiating and closing. In this role, you will spend your time in client-facing information discovery, proposal development, translation of learnings to strategic and tactical recommendations, contract ratification and execution, and identification of upsell opportunities.

 

Our ideal candidate excels at consistently exceeding sales targets while exuding consultative experience in artificial intelligenge media buying space.  The successful candidate will have exceptional sales skills, a proven history of delivering programatic media buying solutions to clients and has stellar communication, organization and analytical skills. 

 

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop strategic plan to achieve revenue goals; hit or exceed these revenue goals

  • Develop agency and partner base. Leverage your contacts to build the business.

  • Manage pipeline and close business, using CRM tools for maximum efficiency and visibility.

  • Leverage your expertise in the programatic media buying solutions to impact product development.

  • Effectively communicate our value proposition, technology and use cases.

  • Other responsibilities, as may be required, such as: conference attendance, industry event attendance,

     

     

    Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in DSPs and/or DMPs.

  • Excellent network of targets

  • Demonstrated track record of success and established relationships.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic

  • Work from home office – ideally in the NY/Boston area

  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time (frequent day trips, semi-regular overnights might be required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
