Geometry Global is searching for a seasoned Media Director to join our dynamic Media team in the New York office. The Media Director is responsible primarily for the planning of digital shopper media for this large Adult Beverage client. They will use statistical models to determine the best media plan for the client, based on maximum media effectiveness. They will also deal with media sales representatives and determine where to place ads based on the client's objectives and budgets.

The Media Director must possess the ability to provide client and agency leadership, be fully versed in syndicated media tools as well as serve as a strategic leader in developing proprietary tools utilized for audience and media planning. This individual must implement strategy that results in client growth, possesses acumen for new business acquisition and have a keen understanding of budgeting and agency financials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day media client liaison across all media recommendations to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Tight coordination with Account, Strategy and Creative teams to gain a deep understanding of the program architecture, creative platform, offers/incentives, user flow, etc.
  • Oversees translation of program objectives into media recommendations
  • Ensures that all media recommendations are designed to maximize sales and are able to be measured through to return on investment (as possible)
  • Key point of contact for media vendor relationships in order to maximize HUSA’s presence
  • Educate client and internal stakeholders as to the performance of programs; oversee the centralization of all results across programs and vendors to be used as a planning tool and reference document for all stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive media strategy that defines how media marketing techniques will be applied to increase engagement, visibility and traffic across all client initiatives
  • Help lead the development of digital media management standards, policies and rules of engagement
  • Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success
  • Apply marketing research and development methods to identify emerging trends and technologies and communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely?
  • Be a trusted resource for clients, agency and partners to identify ways to integrate digital media into business strategies and marketing campaigns?
  • Mentor and provide training to account service and creative team throughout the organization on best practices for creating, managing, monitoring, and developing content for digital media networks
  • Effectively communicate complex and technical theory and info in an understandable manner; and be willing to get his/her hands dirty developing ideas, content and promotions
  • Work with planners, creative team and producers to develop world-class programming
  • Must take the current brand platform and social plan and customize it on a market-by-market basis, while also optimizing platforms to drive engagement.
  • Work with all integrated agency teams to optimize process and programs, including monthly reporting, analysis of key learnings and application of best practices

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in marketing communications with an emphasis in media planning and buying.
  • BA degree or equivalent work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of local, regional and national planning and buying for retail clients

  • The ability to articulate and champion ideas throughout the organization and with clients
  • Able to develop fresh insights from various sources which provide a platform for strong direction and ideas

  • Is seen as an expert in their field, and is called upon for advice and insights
  • Shows convincing understanding of client business issues
  • Drives a culture of effectiveness, ensuring that objectives are clear and evaluation is robust, in order to ensure continuous improvement of communications and wise allocation of budgets
  • Has the ability to objectively and systematically assess and analyze issues, developing effective solutions
  • Able to command an audience and bring strategy to life
  • Is well versed in the various research techniques and methods
