Viacom Media Networks - DIRECTOR, DIGITAL RESEARCH & MEASUREMENT

Measure, analyze and recommend strategies leveraging audience, platform and competitive data. Primary areas of data mining, interpretation, modeling and projection include sites, mobile devices, apps, authenticated viewing, and cross-platform measurement for all screens.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide actionable insights into evolving audience behaviors and offer perspective on emerging measurement to internal clients across Viacom
  • Develop, implement and analyze test/learn scenarios for prospective and new products
  • Utilize both quant and qual proprietary and 3rd party research types:  polls, surveys, focus groups, perceptual maps, segmentation, etc.
  • Apply statistical techniques for analysis, including:  survey statistics (including confidence intervals for frequency data;  correlation and regression analysis; factor and cluster analysis, etc.
  • Represent the Viacom corporate research POV in the design and implementation of proprietary reporting tools, product launches and decisioning around vendor products and services
  • High participation in industry organizations, committees, and working groups, to help shape industry thinking around emerging measurement and research
  • Manage analyst activities

 

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA degree required.
  • Competency in any of the following a plus: MatLab, Python, R, Access, Sequel.
  • Digital expertise a must.
  • Hands-on knowledge of digital media 1st and 3rd party tools a must.
  • Strong written and verbal skills a must.

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Well versed in statistical analysis and projections and proven experience handling duties as listed above in the job function/responsibilities.
  • Well versed in media measurement methodologies.
