Cardlytics - Digital Strategist/Planner

Responsibilities

The Digital Strategist/Planner is a digital native who is enthusiastic and passionate about marketing, in general, and programmatic advertising, specifically. They will manage digital planning and programmatic campaign requirements and client communications for purchase based targeting and online-to-offline attribution campaigns. The successful candidate will collaborate with campaign, sales, analytics and operations to help deliver on a programmatic advertising strategies and campaigns.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on programmatic advertising
  • Work with sales to identify and close opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members to create, launch, manage and optimize programmatic advertising campaigns.
  • Uncover/Understand client objectives, challenges and needs as it pertains to digital campaigns
  • Actively participate in long range and short range strategic planning for our existing clients
  • Responsible for sales material development, proposal development, digital media plans, presentation development
  • The DS/P is responsible for identifying and developing digital strategies alongside the lead account and sales person, driving both results for the client as well as for Cardlytics.
  • The DS/P must maintain a constant dialogue with counterparts and account teams to ensure programmatic has a seat at the table during critical client brainstorms and pitches
  • Stay on top of changing programmatic landscape by networking, meeting and building relationships with new digital vendor partners, etc.
  • Collaborate with all department heads on proposal development and planning so that recommendations are fully integrated
  • Communicate effectively and present to clients and agency counterparts

Skills and Requirements

  •  5+ years digital media and programmatic advertising experience
  • Media buying, planning at an agency or client side is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration required; Master’s preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills
  • Experience building digital media plans
  • Experience writing and selling in proposals/plans for digital marketing efforts
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with many different people, internally and externally
  • Solid working knowledge of digital disciplines including, but not limited to programmatic advertising, mobile sites/apps, social media, SEO, SEM, banner advertising, digital coupons, digital video, content marketing, etc.
  • Ability to effectively articulate a persuasive point-of-view with clients’ best interests in mind
  • A constant learner that has a desire to figure things out -- reads industry blogs, books, etc.
