Netflix Inc.  - Senior Manager - Programmatic Marketing (Content Marketing)

The Netflix North American Digital Marketing organization is a high performance team responsible for Netflix' marketing activation via digital channels. Reporting into the Director of North American Digital Marketing, the Senior Manager will be responsible for the oversight of our programmatic buying activities (paid social and RTB) for our ongoing content marketing programs. We would also like for this individual to serve as our most senior SME (subject matter expert) for the paid social space. A vital member of the team, he/she will be a passionate, data-driven marketer who can leverage their expertise of digital marketing to maximize the performance of our efforts spanning display, video, mobile and channels.

The Role:

- Own the strategic direction for how paid social and programmatic buying can fuel our content marketing efforts. Content marketing is our "always on" layer of digital marketing that features the breadth, depth and quality of our licensed and Original content. 

- Oversee and empower campaign managers (direct reports) responsible for paid social and programmatic/RTB buying on behalf of our content marketing campaigns. (We manage these channels directly through social ads platforms and our DSP).

- Serve as our subject matter expert in the paid social arena....set the learning agenda and define plans for accumulating additional IP in this important space

- Serve as our senior contact for interfacing with social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) as well our social buying platform. Formulate and steward our partnership agenda with these firms and seek to create unique advantage for Netflix

- Evaluate emerging opportunities (e.g. Snapchat Discover, new Tumblr formats, new ad buying platforms, etc.) and their relevance to our business and objectives

- Partner closely with Campaign Strategy, Organic Social, Creative and Product Teams to maximize the total efficacy of our efforts. Partnership is critical for success.

Required Qualifications: 

- At least 5 years of experience in digital planning, buying and measurement including 2+ years as a manager of people

- At least 2 years of experience with the paid social arena

- Exposure to/experience with multiple programmatic buying technologies (PMDs, DSPs, DMPs, etc.)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills 

Desirable Skills:

- Entertainment marketing background (TV, films, video games, etc.)

- Strong understanding of underlying advertising technology

- Community Management/Organic Social Exposure/Experience

- Established relationships at senior levels of social networks
