DirectAvenue, Inc. - Account Executive

This position requires him or her to hold industry knowledge and perform all duties as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) pertaining to the Media Buying Industry and all Media Properties; specifically Short Form DRTV in the following markets:  Cable, Syndication, Network & Regional/Local Broadcast

He or she is required to build a deep understanding of each client’s business and category needs.  The Account Executive shall critically and consistently analyze campaign metrics in order to measure and maximize performance, effectiveness, and response for each client’s campaign and brand.

Account Executive is responsible for the daily performance of client results within the media buying space and all data pertaining to the clients marketing campaign.  Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the maintenance and tracking of client account profitability and the overall strength of the agency/client relationship.  This is measurable and attainable by ensuring that he or she has a deep understanding of each client’s business and category needs.

The Account Executive is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service on all assigned accounts and working with other DirectAvenue employees, as necessary, to achieve the same.

This position also requires constant contact with outside vendors such as:  Consultants, Media Funding Companies, Creative and Production as well as Web companies to name a few. This position requires the Account Executive to work very closely with our internal logistics and media buying departments.

He or She must be abreast of the client’s logistical needs for pre and post campaign launches. Specifically in the following areas:  Production/Dub House, Telemarketing/Call Center, Web/Online Sales, Fulfillment, Pre & Post Logs, Client Specific Reporting/Dashboard Creation & Analysis, Station Performance/Data/Daily Results, Client Exports

The Account Executive is required to have daily and constant communication with all media buyers; especially the Media Buying Manager, to ensure the best media properties, rotations, and rates are being booked.  He or She must create, analyze, and deliver campaign reports to multiple clients on a daily basis.

The Account Executive is responsible for the management and execution of all client activity.  As a result, this allows the media buying department to maximize the DRTV marketing campaign so the client and DirectAvenue increase profitability and success.

To fulfill these essential duties, it is frequently necessary for the Account Executive to be readily available and responsive during regular business hours, either by e-mail, phone, and/or in person, as appropriate.  Communications with clients and about client needs must be professional and reasonably timed due to the nature of DirectAvenue’s business.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Ideal candidate must have 10+ years experience in Marketing/Advertising Direct    Response Television preferred.  Broadcast and/or branded strategies in an advertising or media agency environment.
  • Possess a 4-year college degree.
  • Be self-motivated; capable of prioritizing, comprehending and executing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and vendors.
  • Work diligently with co-workers to complete tasks in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of CORE Direct and Tableau a plus, or will train.
