Indiewire - Sales Planner


Indiewire
is seeking an experienced Sales Planner who will work closely with the Publisher and Director of Sales to formulate comprehensive media plans, manage client relationships, manage and analyze revenue opportunities, and more. Our ideal candidate is a detailed oriented, self-starter, and team player who can prioritize responsibilities in a deadline oriented environment. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the day to day client contact for all advertising campaigns
  • Work closely with the Sales team in the preparation and execution of media proposals and decks; building both digital and custom sponsorships.
  • Manage, forecast, and analyze inventory avails to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Manage revenue forecasting and pipeline pacing against revenue goals. 
  • Manage the post-sale process from insertion order approval to final billing cycles
  • Communicate creative ad specifications and creative lead times to Advertisers/Agencies
  • Work with Ad Ops team to monitor pacing and performance of sold campaigns.
  • Work with Ad Ops team on campaign wrap reports - highlighting areas of success.
  • Work alongside Sales and Ad Ops to help identify increased revenue opportunities
  • Provide launch screenshots and relevant mid-campaign updates to clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience at a major online publisher in sales support and/or a digital agency in a planning or buying capacity.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent with presentation applications (Powerpoint)
  • Understanding of industry terminology and general process / protocol
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a serious commitment to customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Preferred: 

  • Related experience with clients in entertainment industry.
  • Familiarly with SalesForce.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with DoubleClick reporting.
  • Experience working with Ad Networks and Programmatic (Tremor, Spotxchange,Rubicon) is a plus
