CBS Local Digital Media - National Digital Account Executive, Boston
CBS Local Digital Media seeks a National Digital Account Executive to grow sales across key national digital advertising buying agencies and clients. The primary responsibility is to drive and grow new business revenue from advertisers and their agencies by aligning their marketing objectives with CBS Local Digital Media's portfolio of advertising and marketing solutions. This is a high-velocity sales role requiring solid industry expertise, relationships and a proven ability for closing deals.
The ideal candidate is assertive, creative, and resourceful and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires outstanding sales and communication skills to develop and maintain advertising relationships. Position located in Boston and is responsible for the Boston market.
The National Digital Account Executive’s core responsibility is to meet or exceed revenue targets for their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will:
Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain a regional territory and vertical account list
Pitch new business – client direct and their digital buying and planning agencies
Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
Engage and strategize with senior level executives on the client side to demonstrate how CBS Local Digital Media can help meet their objectives
Prepare proposals and respond to RFP's
Participate in and represent CBS Local Digital Media at local industry events
Work with Marketing and Advertising Operations to ensure the client's needs are met
Stay current with online advertising trends and innovations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years online sales experience with a track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals
Established relationships and successful experience with executives at the advertisers direct and their agencies
Strong consultative sales skills, relationship building and customer services skills
High level of sales maturity with emphasis on digital, social media and solution selling
Self-starter capable of thriving in a start-up environment
Working knowledge of standard 3rd party industry measurement
Ability to forecast projected revenue
A focus on growing average deal size, improving close ratio, and balancing the ratio of custom to standard programs
Comprehensive knowledge of online advertising, creative units/executions and current competitive landscape
Demonstrated presentation skills to large and small groups
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation, time management, prioritization and organization skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Positive and infectious outlook and attitude
Works well within a team and individually
