iCrossing, Inc. - Director, Paid Social Media

The Media Director, Paid Social serves as the leader, within the Paid Social Media practice, for media teams managing high profile advertising campaigns on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more. The position is focused on providing paid social media expertise to both internal teams and external clients, leading and managing the Paid Social Media team, reviewing and driving overall client media strategy, financial management of assigned team and associated clients, and ensuring excellence in delivering and executing paid social media plans.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees client paid social media strategy and annual planning from beginning through final delivery
  • Establishes and evolves Best Practices for the Paid Social department
  • Leads client strategy sessions and supports team in presentation of large scale client initiatives
  • Drives innovation/experimentation efforts
  • Looks for opportunities to expand existing and sell new business to clients
  • Prepares staffing requirements for new business
  • Supports the needs of Group/VP/SVP Media Director
  • Supports business development team in winning new business
  • Maintains high levels of up-to-date knowledge of innovations in social media and paid social media
  • Develops and manages to business plan to grow social media practice


  • 10+ years’ experience in field of online advertising, previously in an AMD role
  • 2+ years’ experience managing Paid Social media campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working specifically within a digital media department
  • Experience in working in both direct response and brand driven media environments
  • Management lead in a multi-team environment
  • Passion for digital marketing and paid social media specifically
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Experience with agency financial principals
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
  • Experience working with social media ad management technology such as Kenshoo or other Facebook Marketing Partners
