Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. - Email Campaign Manager

Warner Bros. Digital offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, creative and analytical individual to run the day-to-day operations of the studio’s email channel. We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit to the role as the studio believes email can be a very powerful communication tool to engage fans with our content, drive purchase conversion and inspire product/brand ambassadorship. We seek someone with a deep understanding of database marketing,hands-on experience with email service providers and proven success with campaign planning, project management and client management. 
 
The Campaign Manager will have an opportunity to collaborate with numerous lines of business across the studio including WB Pictures, WB Home Entertainment, WB Studio Tours, WB Digital (Flixster/Rotten Tomatoes) and DC Entertainment as well as key film franchises such as LEGO and Harry Potter.  S/he will develop and execute campaigns in service of individual clients’ strategic objectives while maintaining a macro-level understanding of how business unit activities impact one other and the studio’s shared database.   The Manager will serve as an ambassador of the email channel across the studio, sharing best practices and influencing colleagues to test new tactics that can improve campaign KPIs, grow the database and/or improve retention.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Develop and execute strategies and campaign plans for email programs across various business units and brand franchise initiatives to acquire, retain and maximize value of new and existing customers.  Provide end-to-end campaign management for brand and marketing initiatives as needed.  This includes campaign planning; campaign design; targeting and list pulls, list management, monitoring, analytics and budgeting/forecasting.  Must be able to craft polished decks and present well to senior level executives. 
  • Analyze and report out to business units on performance of campaigns and marketing/database trends/metrics on a regular basis.  Recommend new approaches and provide guidance on customer acquisition, campaign design, targeting, cadence and frequency based on available data.
  • Plan and implement lifecycle programs and marketing automation strategies to increase engagement and add operational efficiencies.  Develop and implement policies and rules to combat list fatigue.  Develop structured testing plans/operational processes, and recommend changes to maximize conversion rates and ROI from marketing campaigns.  Work with global business units and marketing teams to strategize on how best to structure campaigns to meet business program objectives, as well as measure and test the objectives accurately.  Help end-users with design questions or issues in relation to their goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CRM best practices and activities, campaign management and WB customer data.  Work with our Technology team to develop and implement systems and processes to support our CRM strategy and programs.  Assist Technology team to resolve CRM data issues.  Provide support to QA and troubleshoot as necessary to ensure data reconciliation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field is required.
  • 6+ years of consumer marketing experience, including a minimum 4 years of email marketing.
  • Prior experience working at a top tier email service provider is preferred, i.e. Exact Target, Yes Mail, Responsys, Experian, Epsilon.
  • Prior experience working at a major studio, or Fortune 500 company, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with campaign management and segmentation tools.
  • Experience with managing external vendors and suppliers.
  • Supervisory / Management skills.
  • Must be action and results-oriented, and able to expand and apply technical knowledge.
  • Must be results driven with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solver who works well both independently and as part of a team; able to foster and develop others' ideas as well as his/her own.
  • Must be a "self-starter", as well as work in a group project environment.
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and schedule a high workload, efficiently.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills – particularly within large organizations.
  • Must be comfortable managing projects and timelines; Project Management knowledge a plus.
  • Must be familiar with and have comfort using campaign management applications (e.g. Aprimo, Unica, etc.).
  • Must have proficient applied knowledge in use of Excel & Powerpoint; familiarity with basic analytic tools (e.g. SAS) a plus.
  • Ability to manage both internal and external vendors and suppliers.
