Mozilla - Content Partnerships Manager

As a Content Partnerships Manager within the Content Services group at Mozilla, you will be responsible for driving revenue via the sale of Mozilla’s product portfolio. You will work directly with brand advertisers and their media buying and planning agencies to broker longstanding partnerships that deliver industry-leading results utilizing Mozilla’s new suite of content marketing solutions. You will report to the Head of Content Partnerships.


There are many sales candidates in the world but we are looking for candidates who have a passion for Mozilla, our mission, and have empathy for our users. We believe in putting users first, even in the event of sacrificing some revenue. Throughout the interview process, you should demonstrate your knowledge of this and why you specifically want to work at Mozilla.  


Your goal is to drive revenue via partnerships that sustain Mozilla’s mission of building a better internet.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and execute prospecting strategies and materials to support the Mozilla Content Partnerships team

  • Own relationships with partner marketers and their media buying and planning agencies for Mozilla Content Services

  • Evangelize the value proposition of Mozilla Content Services to potential partners through phone conversations, in person meetings, web-conferences, and other tactics

  • Prospect through closing of relationships with the ultimate responsibility of generating additional revenue to sustain our mission


Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital media sales or business development expertise

  • An understanding of both the direct-sold (brand) and programmatic landscape, how the digital advertising landscape is rapidly evolving, and where it is headed

  • In-depth understanding of sales funnel and pipeline management with the of our CRM tool (Salesforce) for tracking

  • Evolved external negotiation skills and strong teamwork skills, with the ability to clearly articulate marketplace feedback

  • Proven ability to lead by example and to achieve results in a fast-moving organization

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills

  • Organized and dependable

  • Travel required, up to 50%

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers, management, and the ad community

  • The strength of your convictions – an influencer with the power of persuasion!

  • Relationship builder who can develop alliances across a wide and distributed organization

  • Self-starter/entrepreneurial - we are new so much of our infrastructure does not yet exist… you are here to help build a world class org! You have the ability to influence and create our sales infrastructure :)

  • Care about the details – when next steps are unclear, you are the person who speaks up and makes sure tasks are owned
