Spotlight Cinema Networks - Manager, Advertising Operations

Headquartered in Los Angeles, SPOTLIGHT CINEMA NETWORKS is the cinema advertising industry leader in reaching affluent, educated, influential adults.  SPOTLIGHT offers an array of on- and off-screen promotional opportunities that enable advertisers to reach consumers throughout their entire moviegoing experience.   The Advertising Operations Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all advertising orders for placement in SPOTLIGHT’s affiliated movie theatres across the U.S. and will direct and lead a small advertising operations team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Management and leadership of advertising operations team.
  • Develop and streamline processes to improve productivity and unit performance.
  • Focus on standards of quality ensuring fulfillment and compliance through accurate quality control.
  • Receive and review incoming new orders and scheduling instructions.
  • Coordinate with Account Directors to obtain creative, review for compliance, procure approvals and ensure on time scheduling.
  • Support Account Directors by answering content and fulfillment questions and assisting in the resolution of any issues while proactively anticipating and addressing further inquiries.
  • Guide clients in the production and delivery of on-screen and off-screen elements by providing deadlines, spec requirements and content guidelines to ensure approval and on time program execution.
  • Traffic on-screen and off-screen materials for on time start and based on client execution plan.
  • Coordinate with external production houses to ensure on-screen and off-screen materials are produced and distributed to Spotlight affiliated movie theatres.
  • Work closely with all members and all levels of the Sales, Media Services, Accounting/Finance, Exhibitor Relations and Operations teams, providing support and back up.
  • Coordinates and oversees the timely flow of projects from receipt of order, production & distribution, the start of a campaign and completion of the campaign.
  • Diplomatically enforce deadlines and problem solve in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Monitor progress of orders by tracking order schedules, routing work for approvals, tracking changes, communicating change and order status, expediting requirements and resolving problems.
  • Monitor and generate pre- and post-flight analysis and reports, including confirming proof of performance by theatres and for advertisers.
  • Formulate and manage timelines, budgets and reports.


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in traffic, campaign or project management in an advertising agency or network environment is preferred.
  • College degree required.
  • Must possess strong leadership and management skills.
  • Must be able to make quick sound judgments and communicate effectively with staff, superiors and external vendors (i.e. FotoKem).
  • Experience with cinema advertising medium preferred.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and customer service/solutions focused.
  • Must have strong communication (verbal and written) and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be willing to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be self-starting, flexible and willing to operate within a team environment.
  • Must be a fast learner.
  • Ability to properly manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible; can wear many hats, switching back and forth between tasks, software application and departments.
  • Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office experience, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of FileMaker and similar CRM software.
