Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. - Manager, Media Research

Warner Bros. Television Distribution Inc. seeks a Manager, Media Research for the Media Research & Insights department. The manager serves as a strategic partner with senior management in the support of current business plans, and future business unit growth, providing ROI models and pacing indices for sales, marketing and planning strategies. Position is tasked with leveraging On Demand TV Strategies, Linear ratings and CPM data to create media valuation models, business development analysis and reconciliation reporting for business units throughout the Warner Bros. Television Group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Manage national linear and on demand ratings and SVOD data streams for WB series and movies.
  • Analyze OTT content market challenges, segment conditions and opportunities.
  • Analyze and use ratings, on demand data and CPM metrics to estimate business growth. Draft executive summaries to senior management to highlight trends, opportunities and challenges.
  • Manage large scale ROI models and financial forecasts ($20 million plus); participate in business proposal design and development and project ROI.
  • Influence decisions of executives through both written and verbal presentations.
  • Manages day to day operations for corporate research.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of current and potential clients’ strategic needs.
  • Manage extensive financial analysis and forecasts; including Network, Cable and Broadcast Station Group transactions.
  • Generate and maintain rating and VPVH estimates and financial forecasts for all Time Warner television product based on established media research infrastructure
  • Other job related duties and projects as assigned.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • PC based information systems knowledge required including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of research methodology related to entertainment and content distribution across all media platforms.
  • Proven track record of supporting strategic analysis.
  • A highly motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to write clear, persuasive and informative presentations essential.
  • Must have the ability to work under extreme deadline pressure. Flexibility in prioritizing workloads required.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and strong chart creation capabilities required.
  • Must have knowledge of research tools and techniques utilizing Nielsen and other vendors.
  • Must have passion/interest in television content and distribution strategy.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Must possess strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • An extremely well organized and self-directed individual who will thrive working across multiple divisions and in team environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
