Fidelity / Veritude - Media Supervisor

We are looking for a Media Supervisor on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Boston, MA.  

 

Seeking a Media professional with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience to fill in for maternity leave in Media Supervisor role at Fidelity’s in-house advertising agency. 

Responsibilities centered on Media evaluation, negotiation and execution for campaigns within Personal Investing division.  Candidate will have exposure across channels with a focus on Print and supporting role with Digital initiatives.  Media Supervisor will work closely with the Media Director on overall strategies and initiatives related to Marketing campaigns and will oversee Media Planner/Buyer. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current 2015 Print Media buys as well as evaluation, selection and scheduling recommendations for potential incremental.  Includes extensive target audience and publication analysis using syndicated research and audits, analyzing data to formulate plan recommendations. 
  • Oversee Print RFP process and coordinate with external agency (Havas) on integrated RFPs.  Print buying oversight includes primary responsibility for negotiating contracts, added value and makegoods, supervising a Media Planner/Buyer to ensure accuracy in placements, rates and budget records and being the primary contact with Finance and Marketing for print billing and budget issues and reporting. 
  • Line of business Media lead on Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) Annuities direct response campaign (Print, Display, Search).  Oversee existing 2015 buy; develop, write and present media plans.  Evaluate call volume driven by Print advertising with Analytics team. Maintain media flowcharts and linechart for client and for budget reporting. 
  • Support VPs and Director with various initiatives including Media landscape presentations and 2016 planning.  Depending on the project, activities may involve collaboration with and/or oversight of Havas team and communication within internal Fidelity Marketing/Advertising/Production groups.  

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or equivalent training is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience – preferably cross-channel         

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Expertise and in-depth knowledge of media science, current Media developments. 
  • Technical understanding of multiple media research and measurement systems (i.e. DoubleClick, MRI, Ipsos)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Proficient use of Excel, pivot tables
  • A quick study on Fidelity’s Retail products, Marketing objectives and strategies.
