iCrossing, Inc. - Associate Director, Digital Media Strategy

iCrossing is looking for a Leader (Associate Director / Director depending on years experience) in Digital Media Strategy for our NY Office. We are looking for someone with deep digital experience, with expertise in either SEM or Display Media, and exposure to other core performance marketing channels – Social or SEO. We are looking for a smart digital marketer who can have an intelligent conversation about broader digital strategy with strong communication skills and who possesses confidence.

This experienced resource in Digital Media Strategy provides strategic leadership for clients’ business by providing solutions for integrating disparate media channels into cohesive strategic media programs. The position dives deeply into marketing objectives and steps back from individual channel budgets to devise plans that strive to achieve the most effective spend plans possible. The Associate Director / Director, Digital Media Strategy works in concert with individual channel experts to explore the best options available and actively breaks down silos when present. Additionally, the Associate Director / Director, Digital Media Strategy will lead efforts to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and/or effectiveness for existing programs, work closely with Digital Media Insights (Analytics) to devise optimal measurement plans, play an active role in New Business pitches, publish POVs and provide media marketplace position and assessments for new and emerging media, as needed.

Media Skills

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and functional expertise in Paid Search/Display and at least two media channels (Display, Search, Social, SEO)
  • Media budgeting expertise, including the ability to create frameworks for helping to determine allocations across channels
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in remaining channels from the ground up to provide cohesive cross-channel evaluations in an unbiased manner
  • Expertise in using, understanding and presenting attribution models and demonstrating cross-channel planning benefits
  • Possess a balance of analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Appetite to scour industry for new opportunities, betas and emerging platforms

Project Management and Communication

  • Demonstrates highly organized team management, specifically in managing multiple service lines
  • Prioritization setting for clients needs
  • Manages time carefully across multiple client assigments
  • Support client transitions into the agency
  • Superior client communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to direct and appropriately delegate tasks to support team members
  • Ability to direct and appropriately delegate tasks to channel leads

Client Management

  • Viewed as a strong strategic resource for client and a leader within the broader team
  • Sells the vision for cross-channel assessment and is the trusted source for “final say” on media recommendations
  • Not a “direct client lead” on any piece of business





Experience:

  • 7-9 years experience in field of online advertising, previously in a media centric role; final role based on total experience
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and functional expertise in Paid Search/Display and at least two media channels (Display, Search, Social, SEO)
  • Confident communicator
  • Experience in working in both direct response and brand driven media environments
  • Management lead in a multi-team environment
  • Passion for digital marketing
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
