Job Description

The Associate Manager of Offline Marketing is responsible for the support of offline media reporting, analysis, and support and optimization for a top eCommerce TV advertiser. This is an excellent role for quantitative individuals looking to gain exposure to media at a growing internet-based company. We are looking for an extremely analytical, data-driven individual. This individual will report to the Senior Manager, Offline Marketing. The role is responsible for the support of offline media reporting, analysis, ad trafficking, planning, as well as operations of Direct Mail and emerging offline marketing channels such as billboard ads, radio, and digital video. The optimal candidate has prior experience with analysis or marketing, though this is not required for the role. Individuals in the analytics, finance, or consulting fields looking to gain general marketing experience would be a particular fit.

The Associate Manager, Offline Marketing, will be responsible for the following: 

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements: 

  • Help manage day to day execution and management of offline marketing media activities, specifically television and Direct Mail.
  • Partner closely with CRM, Creative, PR, Biz Dev, and Marketing Operations to launch offline initiatives in concert with department wide goals and programs
  • Analyze and interpret extensive performance data to help refine offline communication strategies, channel performance and optimize all media buys to achieve efficiency goals
  • Assist with the development of Direct Mail strategy, and oversee all execution, growth, performance measurement and attribution for Direct Mail
  • Assist with channel management and performance of new TV initiatives such as programmatic television, tactical promotional focused TV creative, and media consumption trends and surveys
  • Support the development and evaluation of new emerging offline channels such as Digital Video, TV streaming platforms, podcasts, and Out of Home opportunities
  • Keep the pulse of the varying channels in your purview and serve as the point person for channel-level insights with marketing leadership and other teams. Monitor performance and investigate variances proactively. 
  • Lead processes for effective department operations such as: PO setup, account payable tracking/auditing, legal statement of work compliance and international accrual processes working with internal parties to ensure proper and timely payment of invoices and reporting.

Qualifications

Required Skills: 

  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret internal and external performance data in an ROI driven business
  • BA/BS in Marketing, History, Business, Economics, statistics, or ability to express quantitative ability 
  • Desire to immersing yourself and learn about offline/online marketing best practices, skills and performance based marketing
  • Experience working in a fast paced, integrated environment with unparalleled level of organization 
  • Be self-motivated and able to execute on new ideas, start to finish, with appropriate partners and feedback from peers/executives
  • Quickly develop a firm understanding of how Ancestry.com works, particularly from the perspective of a new user
  • Passion and enthusiasm in everything you do. Be hungry to solve problems and learn.
