Meredith Corporation - Midwest Sales Director, Digital

The Sales Director leads & manages a group of sellers to maintain and grow advertising revenue for Meredith Digital. 

The Meredith Digital team sells all Meredith brands, including: Allrecipes.com, Better Homes & Gardens, Eating Well, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Family Circle, Martha Stewart, Parents, Parenting, Fitness, & Shape. We have over 70 million unique visitors and our products include mobile, social, video, shopper marketing, audience targeting, programmatic, & native.

Must have strong understanding of selling native, video, programmatic and mobile opportunities.   

Essential Job Functions

70% Create new business opportunities and exceed sales goals for group by providing strategic thinking to meet client/market challenges.

20% Lead & manage a team of 2-3 digital sellers. Help them brainstorm & strategize, remove obstacles for them, and keep them abreast of company initiatives.

10% Work with internal Meredith brands & corporate team on digital collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

College graduate

Experience:

8 + years advertising sales experience

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven seller with strong track record of managing senior sales team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate complex technical features in simple terms.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to work in a matrix organization and thrive in a highly-collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Must have strong understanding of selling native, video, programmatic and mobile opportunities.

  • Strategic thinker

25-30% travel
