MediaPost - Event Ticket Sales Manager


MediaPost, the largest publisher of content (website, newsletters, magazines and events) for agency professionals and brand marketers, is looking for a candidate to fill the role of Event Ticket Sales Manager for the Events department.

The ideal candidate will be expected to master the follow:

Event Ticket Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify candidates/leads to reach out to that have never attended a MediaPost conference or summit
  • Sell passes to MediaPost’s roster of conferences and summits
  • Follow-up with paid ticket attendees post-show and get tangible feedback on their experience
  • Strengthen relationships with previous/existing attendees and convert them into attending more events
  • Conceptualize creative concepts to incentivize more advertising and marketing community members to attend MediaPost events
  • Help facilitate interest in a deeper involvement with the events and create sponsorship opportunities for the Events Sales team

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

  • Proficiency working with Keynote, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint,
  • Strong verbal and communicative skills
  • A passion for design and an aesthetic eye
  • Enthusiastic/outgoing personality and willingness to work and learn in a fun and energetic environment
  • Self-motivated professional who is ready to be entrusted with responsibilities immediately in a less rules-oriented work culture
  • Willingness to be responsive to company-related emails or calls after hours or on weekends, if needed 

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Competitive salary plus potential bonuses per ticket sold.   Additional bonus potential if paid attendees convert to full sponsors of the events.
