PetSmart - Senior Media Planner - Pet360

We’re seeking a creative a Senior Media Planner to join our team in New York, NY. This candidate will be a multi-talented visionary who encourages outside the box thinking, is detail-oriented, highly organized, analytically charged, intellectually curious and is passionate about all things digital media and pets. This role is essential to the design of campaign development from start to finish.

In this role, you will help assess the digital media landscape by meeting with various business and product development teams, and creative studios to craft holistic plans that encompass the wide array of “display media.” These include cross-platform, programmatic, data, interactive creative, content, video, consumer insights, and social, with the sole focus of customer experience at the base.

In this role, you will be responsible to:

  • Design consumer experiences with creative digital ideas at the core of each program, including leveraging mobile apps, driving site traffic, enhancing gaming, content marketing, rich media, and video
  • Train and influence a team to utilize research tools & vendors to help shape framework of strategy as well as pinpoint implications for planning
  • Oversee planning process from start to finish, including RFPs, pricing negotiation, creative development, creative specs, supporting documentation, and deck build
  • Assist Director and Insights and Analytics in identification of vendors for long-term enterprise wide partnership opportunities
  • Support the team structure and classify campaigns for constant testing and programmatic diversification
  • Lead planning team on a day-to-day basis for full cycle of programs
  • Build and preserve relationships with vendors and internal teams
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify potential synergistic opportunities
  • Effectively present digital media plans to multiple groups in a team environment
  • Manage team in creation of authorization to buy forms, campaign budget sheets, and trafficking sheets
  • Review reports with team to extrapolate performance trends and key insights for optimization opportunities and/or future planning
  • Work alongside Campaign Managers & Media Planners to ensure billing is completed in a timely fashion

 

Minimum Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent years of work experience in related position
  • Minimum of 3 years of digital media/marketing experience, specifically at an advertising agency or client side online marketing department
  • Minimum of 2 years of programmatic experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience leading a small team or group
  • Retail and/or financial services experience on the marketing side is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DoubleClick/DCM, Programmatic UIs, comScore, Facebook Power Editor, and Google Analytics are required
