World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world's leading conservation organization, seeks a Specialist, Celebrity and Entertainment Relations, at our Washington, DC office, to implement WWF's celebrity and film/television engagement efforts, in order to increase awareness of WWF's brand and mission to target audiences and deliver on communication and conservation goals.


Job Requirements

* In collaboration with the Vice President and Lead Specialist, helps implement all aspects of the celebrity engagement function for WWF-US, including managing engagement and relationships with existing supporters and Global Ambassadors, as well as recruiting new supporters.
* Regularly connects with and updates talent agencies and celebrity handlers (publicists, managers) to strengthen relationships and ensure WWF is top of mind.
* Supports the Lead Specialist within WWF's global celebrity engagement steering committee, and collaborates with peers across the WWF Network who also manage celebrity relations. Internally, maintains strong relationships with others in Marketing and Communications and across Goal and Influence teams.
* Works with production companies, television networks and film studios to identify opportunities to leverage entertainment properties to tell WWF's conversation stories and feature WWF's brand, including but not limited to reviewing agreements, integrations and cause marketing opportunities (in partnership with Private Sector Engagement team). Manages the approval process to ensure partnerships of quality and value, consistent with the WWF brand and conservation message, and executes partnership communications/promotion.
* Occasional domestic and international travel required: Attends key industry events to promote WWF's mission and entertainment sector engagement offerings to relevant audiences; Travels to WWF field programs and/or other locations with talent; Represents WWF-US at relevant national and international meetings.



* A Bachelor's degree is required

* At least 4 years of professional experience in marketing/communications, celebrity engagement or public relations is needed

* Experience working in or with the entertainment industry/talent management field and demonstrated track record of celebrity relationship management is highly desirable, preferably in a cause-related role

* Requires exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills, as well as superb oral and written communications skills

* Collaborative nature and the ability to work diplomatically as part of a high-level, multi­dimensional, international team

* Can successfully sell ideas both internally and externally

* Strong organizational and project management skills

* Detail and deadline oriented, with a willingness to often work non-traditional hours

* Must possess a keen interest in and familiarity of the entertainment industry

* Must possess appreciation and enthusiasm for conservation

* Strong working knowledge of social platforms, including, but not limited to, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and others.
* Photoshop skills a plus.
