Motorola Plugs Bluetooth On Dennis Digital

With the help of Carat Fusion, Motorola is further delving into non-traditional media advertising. Carat is working with Dennis Digital's Maxim.com to host an interactive section of the site dubbed the Motorola Pad. There, visitors can explore the digital bachelor-pad and learn about various Motorola products like its Bluetooth-enabled smartphones and headsets.

Banner advertising placed on Dennis Digital's network of sites, from Blender.com and Stuffmagazine.com, direct Web surfers to the branded microsite.

This summer, Carat Fusion created a MySpace page for Motorola, "My Very Thin Space," as a platform for Motorola's new MotoQ smartphone. Motorola is also sponsoring a new feature on mobile phone e-tailer Wirefly.com, so users can create their own avatar-based wireless ringtones to share with friends. The Wirefly deal, however, was done directly between Motorola and inPhonic, owner of the mobile phone company.

Avatar expert Oddcast and inPhonic came together to create Motorola's avatars. Web users can visit Wirefly.com to create their own avatars, which can then be sent via MMS to friends. They can also be uploaded to MySpace and shared via e-mail. Carat Fusion handles direct and interactive marketing for various clients, including Eddie Bauer, Napster, eFax and Network Appliance.
