'Real Wedding Crashers' Nabs NBC's Prime Monday Slot

"The Real Wedding Crashers" will get NBC's most prized possession of the moment--the 10 p.m. Monday time slot after NBC's-highest rated show, "Heroes."

The show, which comes from MTV "Punk'd" producers Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, will start up Monday night, April 23. Previously, NBC tried its luck with "Studio 60" at the start of the season--which started sinking in January. Most recently, "The Black Donnellys" was put into its place, then posted worse numbers than that of "Studio 60."

NBC has order six one-hour episodes of the show, which shows real weddings where actors crash events with the approval of the bride and groom.

In other programming news, NBC, and other networks, continue their respective slow dances until ramping up for the May sweeps. That means re-runs.

Sunday night ratings showed a bunch of repeats with ABC winning the night. ABC had a 3.3 rating/9 share among 18-49 viewers. CBS was second at 2.8/8, Fox was next at 2.6/7, NBC fourth at 2.2/6, Univision fifth at 1.4/4 and CW sixth at 0.6/2.

An original of the ABC 10 p.m. drama, "Brothers & Sisters" lost steam--mostly because of a "Desperate Housewives" rerun, which ran before it. The "Housewives" clip show lost over 50% of its viewers from the week before, down to a 3.5 rating. "B&S" could only manage a 3.3 rating, which was down 30% from the week before and off 25% of its season average.

NBC continued to run low on Sundays, with its all reality show/news lineup. "Dateline" pulled in a 1.5 in the 7 p.m. hour, then a 2.2 in the 8 p.m. time period; "Deal or No Deal" earned a 2.8 at 9 p.m.; and "The Apprentice" grabbed a 2.2 at 10 p.m.

CBS' best came at 10 p.m. with a 3.5 for "Cold Case," which won the time period. Fox scored its best at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., with 3.1 ratings each for "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy." CW, also in repeat mode, grabbed a 0.8 for "America's Next Top Model" at 9 p.m.
