  • Electronic Arts
    SEE
    After more than 10 years together, Electronic Arts will not be renewing its contract with SEE advertising when it expires March 31, 2005. EA will continue to work with SEE on its winter lineup of titles and will announce a new agency of record in the coming weeks.
  • Penta
    NYCA
    NYCA has been named agency of record for Penta water. The initial plan is valued at less than $5 million.
  • TripAdvisor
    Mullen
    Mullen edged out Connelly Partners, Hill Holliday, and Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners for the TripAdvisor account. Pile and Company, a Boston-based management consulting firm, managed the review. Industry sources value the account to be between $5 and 10 million.
  • California's Anti-Tobacco Campaign
    In Review
    California's anti-tobacco advertising contract is in review. Ground Zero Advertising in Los Angeles is the current contractor. The account is valued at $45 million. The contract is set to begin on or around May 1, 2005.
  • Verizon SuperPages.com
    TM Advertising
    TM Advertising has been named agency of record for Verizon SuperPages.com. The agency will handle online marketing, traditional advertising, online media planning and buying, and business-to-business advertising. Billings were not disclosed, but industry sources estimate its value at $15 million.
  • Mitsubishi Motors North America
    In Review
    Six agencies have advanced in the review for Mitsubishi Motors North America's account. They are BBDO North America of New York; Cramer-Krasselt of Chicago; Publicis & Hal Riney of San Francisco; Temerlin McClain of Dallas; Publicis West of Seattle; and incumbent Deutsch, Los Angeles.

    THQ, the company behind many popular movie-to-video game entertainment offerings, has chosen MindShare's Los Angeles office to run its U.S. media planning and implementation account. The broadcast portion of the THQ account was previously handled by Summit Media. Billings are estimated at $20 million.

    Euro RSCG Worldwide and sibling Media Planning Group have withdrawn from Intel's estimated $300 million review.
  • NetIQ
    JUMBOshrimp
    JUMBOshrimp Advertising has been selected as the marketing communications agency for NetIQ, a San Jose-based software company providing IT system and security management as well as Web analytics solutions. The agency is developing an integrated campaign to launch the company's security management solutions, which will appear in print and online media. Billings were not disclosed.

    DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit), has chosen Moroch as its agency of record. The agency will be assigned various projects including media, creative, promotions, research, and Hispanic marketing. Work on the $2.1 million contract began January 1.

    Starmark International has been named agency of record for Vista Healthplan, a health benefits company based in South Florida. Spending was not released.
  • Eclectic Products
    CMD
    Eclectic Products, of Eugene, Ore., has selected CMD as its agency of record. CMD is creating a re-branding campaign for Amazing GOOP Adhesives that includes national print and radio advertising, public relations, interactive/Web, and media planning and buying. Spending was not released.
  • ISO
    Keiler & Company
    Keiler & Company has been named agency of record by ISO, a provider of products and services that measure, manage, and reduce risk for professionals in insurance, finance, and real estate. Keiler will develop business-to-business campaigns for a variety of company products. The budget was not released.
  • Schering-Plough
    Clarification
    Last week's edition of Accounts on the Move stated that Schering-Plough has consolidated its global creative business with Omnicom Group and Publicis Groupe. Actually, the consolidation is limited to the Global Pharmaceutical Business. The Consumer Heathcare Division is not part of this consolidation. The creative efforts on the Schering-Plough Consumer Heathcare Brands such as Claritin, Dr. Scholl's and Coppertone is handled by EURO RSCG Partners, New York.
