  • Brooks Running Company
    Digital Kitchen

    Digital Kitchen was named digital agency of record for Brooks Running Company, following a review that began in December. The agency will develop a strategic digital approach, including social media, experiential, content and web elements for the Seattle-based running company. The account will be managed primarily from Digital Kitchen's Seattle office with support from the Chicago and Los Angeles offices when needed. Brooks Running Company designs running-specific footwear, apparel, and accessories in more than 60 countries worldwide. Brooks Running spent $3.5 million on measured media from January to September of 2013, up from its entire 2012 media spend of $3.4 million, according to Kantar Media. Additional Digital Kitchen clients include AT&T, Microsoft, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Whole Foods Market and Los Angeles World Airports.

    BBH
    Following a review, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) successfully retained British Airways' creative account, which it has handled since 2005. In addition, the agency also picked up additional work for the airline's loyalty and digital marketing communications accounts.
  • Connecticut Children's Medical Center, UConn Health and the McDonald's Operators of the Capital District
    Cronin and Company

    Cronin and Company picked up three new clients this year: Connecticut Children's Medical Center, UConn Health and the McDonald's Operators of the Capital District in Albany, New York. Connecticut Children's Medical Center tapped the agency to create and execute advertising efforts as its agency of record. UConn Health enlisted Cronin to develop an advertising campaign to rebrand the healthcare center as a vibrant, integrated academic medical center that is experiencing growth in all three areas of its mission: academics, research and clinical care. Lastly, the McDonald's Operators of the Capital District named Cronin as its public relations agency of record, following a review. Cronin will manage the public relations program for the group's 70 restaurants and 20 owner/operators.

  • Black Fig Vodka
    Allen & Gerritsen

    Black Infusions, makers of Black Fig Vodka, an artisanal spirit founded in Boston, tapped Allen & Gerritsen to develop and execute a marketing campaign describing the unique story of the vodka. The vodka will be available in upscale metro markets across the United States. First work will launched this month in Boston before a national roll-out later this year. Each bottle of Black Fig Vodka is infused with more than one pound of figs from California. "Black Fig is a story of unlikely combinations... California figs infused into premium vodka distilled from grain to produce an elegant rich, brown offering that is unlike anything else on the market," said Randy Nason, who co-created Black Fig Vodka with his partner, restaurateur Mitchell Maxwell. "We're thrilled to partner with a&g to bring this experience to consumers around the country, beginning with our home turf in Boston."

  • Energy Upgrade California
    Lowe Campbell Ewald

    Lowe Campbell Ewald, part of Interpublic Group, was named agency of record for Energy Upgrade California, following a review. Energy Upgrade California is a marketing, education and outreach brand of the State of California that educates residents and small business consumers about energy management. The brand will launch a primary statewide marketing campaign that will help residents and small businesses understand how they use energy, and what actions they can take to save energy and money. The Lowe Campbell Ewald Los Angeles office partnered with three agencies for the review: Momentum for experiential marketing, Casanova Pendril for Hispanic marketing and InterTrend for Asian marketing. Lowe Campbell Ewald and its agency partners will be responsible for strategy, communications planning, creative, production, media planning and buying (traditional and digital), and experiential elements.

  • Mozido
    Shoptology

    Shopper engagement agency Shoptology, part of the Project: WorldWide agency network, has been named agency of record for Mozido, a platform for mobile payment, shopping and marketing solutions that also provides real-time customer behavior analytics. The appointment comes following a review. Shoptology will provide brand development and marketing chores that position Mozido as a global leader in the mobile payments category. "This exciting partnership with Mozido is a great fit as we're both passionately focused on innovation in the mobile space and where payments and marketing are headed, not only in retail, but also in providing innovative payment alternatives," said Charlie Anderson, CEO of Shoptology. Additional Shoptology clients include DSM, Frito-Lay, JetBlue, KIA, Pepsi-Lipton Partnership, Major League Soccer and THX.
