  • The Los Angeles Clippers
    RPA
    The Los Angeles Clippers tapped RPA as lead agency to handle strategy, creative, media planning and buying, digital/social marketing and branded entertainment following a review led by Pile and Company. Previously, HeilBrice had worked with the Clippers since 1999. "The Los Angeles Clippers are poised for greatness. RPA will help the franchise become a first-class sports and entertainment brand," said Kirt Danner, senior vice president, group account director at RPA. "The soon-to-launch campaign will help the franchise stand out and seize this unique opportunity to gain a competitive edge and increase its fan base." Additional RPA clients include American Honda, ARCO, Delano Las Vegas, Intuit Small Business, La-Z-Boy, Farmers Insurance Group and Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
  • Hyatt Hotels & Resorts
    Olson 1to1
    Olson 1to1, the loyalty and CRM unit of Olson, was named loyalty and CRM agency of record for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. The agency will assist Hyatt Gold Passport in its efforts to make stays at Hyatt even more rewarding through member benefits and personalized service across all nine Hyatt brands in 48 countries. The agency replaced Omnicom's Rapp Worldwide, which handled the business for more than 25 years. Olson 1to1 will streamline online and call-center experiences and provide a technology solution that can seamlessly integrate into Hyatt's operations and marketing channels via Olson 1to1's Tally platform. Work begins immediately with an expected launch in the first half of 2015. "We are looking forward to working with Olson 1to1 to bridge marketing and technology in a way that will allow our colleagues around the world to better serve and reward our members," said Jeff Zidell, senior vice president of Hyatt Gold Passport. Additional Olson 1to1 clients include Amtrak, Best Buy, Luxottica, Lancome and P.F. Chang's China Bistro.
  • Wix.com and Blink Fitness
    Silver + Partners

    New York-based agency Silver + Partners was named agency of record for Wix.com and Blink Fitness. Neither advertiser had previous agencies, as both handled consumer advertising in-house. The AOR assignment from Wix grew out of a creative project Silver + Partners was awarded earlier this year, besting several agencies for the work. Wix is a cloud-based platform that allows users to create HTML5 websites and mobile sites through its online drag and drop tools. Wix will continue to handle digital advertising in-house. "Running a small business is difficult, and you know you need a website," says Silver + Partners Chief Innovation Officer Guy Poreh. "But just the thought of building a website is, for most everyone, pure hell. Our campaign shows that we know all sorts of pains in the neck will crop up in the course of running your business; at least building your website with Wix will be easy." Wix.com spent $1.3 million on measured media in 2013, according to Kantar Media. The Blink Fitness win was also part of a formal agency review conducted by the marketer. With 35 locations in the greater New York area, the chain is the newest addition to the Equinox family.

    Azzur, a private equity firm with holdings in the life sciences consulting industry, has partnered with 3Seed Marketing & Design Studio. "This partnership will allow us to utilize the marketing, design and website optimization services of 3Seed Marketing & Design and share those benefits with our customers," says Mark O'Donnell, Managing Partner of Azzur. "The support of an advertising agency will provide us with the resources necessary to facilitate positive growth for all our Azzur companies." In addition to partnering with 3Seed Marketing & Design, Azzur recently merged with BioSPEQ and acquired Azot, an engineering and custom fabrication company, to form Azzur Engineering.
