Pure Life Launches Healthy Habits Challenge

Nestle In an extension of its spokesperson partnership with health guru/Best Life fitness/diet program founder Bob Greene, Nestlé Pure Life has launched the "Pure Life/Best Life Challenge."

In the online challenge program, Greene and the bottled water brand encourage families to adopt simple, new habits that can add up to significant health benefits.

People can go to purelifebestlife.com to register for the challenge, which focuses on four areas: eat right, drink right, get active and get green. Each time a section is completed, participants earn an online badge recognizing their progress.

In addition, participants' purchases of Pure Life earn "Healthy Rewards" by mail, such as Pure Life coupons, sporting goods gift certificates and Best Life memberships. Participants are also being encouraged to use email, social networks and Facebook to invite friends and family to join the challenge.

The program's concept ties in with findings of a recent online survey for Pure Life conducted by Opinion Research Corp. The survey found that 78% of a sample representative of the U.S. adult population believes that it takes six months or longer to form a new habit, whereas "experts agree that it really only takes about three to six weeks," according to Nestlé.

The research also found that 84% of adults grade their families' healthy habits at a "B" or "C" level. And while 92% said that developing healthier habits is important for their families, 88% also said that the greatest barrier to this is lack of motivation to make the effort.

The information provided on the challenge site, as well as its elements of fun and rewards, aim to keep families engaged and motivated to make changes and progress toward healthier lifestyles, noted Larry Cooper, group marketing manager, Nestlé Waters North America.

Now Nestle is showing families how healthy it is to spend their money on bottled water! They are running TV commercials that show families drinking bottled water while playing outside... despite all that we are doing here in Canada to educate folks that their tap water is better for them, and better for the environment - and water is a public resource that should not to be commodified by this EVIL corporation. Many fear that this beverage company's demand for water will actually lead to, or be a catalyst in the privatization of water resources. So do not buy this marketing crap - the real story is right here. How much damage can one person do online if he or she visits every single place where Nestle has content AND SPEAKS THE TRUTH ABOUT BOTTLED WATER?
