AOL, which is expected to be spun off from Time Warner, this morning announced that Jeff Levick will join the company as its top advertising executive. Levick, who was vice president-industry
development and marketing at Google, follows former Google ad sales chief Tim Armstrong, who was recently named AOL Chairman-CEO. Levick, whose title will be president-global advertising and strategy
at AOL, will be responsible for Platform-A, AOL's advertising business, as well as developing global revenue strategies. The movement of top executives from Google to AOL will likely fuel ongoing
speculation that Google might ultimately make a play to acquire AOL. Google already is a significant minority investor in the Time Warner unit.
