Belo To Broadcast Estrella TV In Key Hispanic Markets

Belo Corp. has agreed to broadcast LBI Media's Hispanic network, Estrella TV. The programming will air on digital subchannels of KGW Portland, Ore (DMA 22); KENS San Antonio, Texas (DMA 37); KVUE Austin, Texas (DMA 49); and KTTU Tucson, Ariz. (DMA 68). Estrella TV's distribution covers almost 60% of Hispanic television households when combining all of LBI Media's stations. Estrella TV will now be in the Hispanic Texas markets of Austin, McAllen-Brownsville, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, Tyler-Longview and Waco, as well as Phoenix and Tuscon, the largest Hispanic markets in Arizona. Estrella is scheduled for a third-quarter launch.
