Chopra Confirmed as Chief Tech Officer

The U.S. Senate confirmed Aneesh Chopra for Chief Technology Officer, an important post that will oversee the Obama Administration's broadband policies. Also, cable lawyer Cameron Kerry (brother of Sen. John Kerry) got the OK as general counsel of the Department of Commerce and former Discovery chief Judith McHale is now under secretary of state for public diplomacy at the State Department. Larry Strickling, nominated to head up the National Telecommunications & Information Administration, is still waiting for the official OK.
