TubeMogul Unveils Upgraded Video Tracking Platform

  • May 28, 2009
Web video analytics service TubeMogul Wednesday announced the latest version of its platform, allowing users to track viewing data from top video sites in a single dashboard.

TubeMogul 2.0 includes free software that reports cross-site metrics such as how much of a video is actually watched, what sites and search terms are referring views, and audience geography, among other kinds of data. The company's free InPlay technology now powers analytics on 15 video sites including Blip.tv., MetaCafe, and DailyMotion. (But not YouTube.)

"Knowing which shows are most engaging to viewers is helpful in selling advertising and devoting resources," said Jim Louderback, CEO of Revision3, which has beta-tested the upgraded TubeMogul platform, in a statement. --Mark Walsh
