Publishers Clearing House Embraces iPhone

  • June 15, 2009
In its ongoing push to go digital, Publishers Clearing House has launched a new mobile site geared to the iPhone and iPod Touch. The magazine and sweepstakes company has also released two free iPhone apps for its "PCH Slots" and "PCH Trivia" games.

PCH is partnering with mobile ad company Nexage to monetize the iPhone site and plans to launch versions tailored to other mobile browsers in the coming weeks. The new mobile site allows visitors to enter the PCH sweepstakes once per day and acts as a cross-promotional tool for its other Web properties anchored by PCH.com. Magazine, merchandise and ad partner programs are planned for future versions of the site.

The mobile moves follow recent steps by PCH to develop a presence in social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to reinvigorate the old-line brand and attract new and younger users. --Mark Walsh
