NBC and Carousel Television have asked "House" creator-exec producer David Shore to fashion a comeback for the detective drama "Rockford," which starred James Garner in the 1970s, reports
Variety. Shore says he will update the series to present day but will stick with the basics: an LA private eye trying to make a living. Garner won an Emmy for the role.
