Ford is promoting its battery electric vehicle technology on "The Jay Leno Show" on NBC as part of the show's "Green Car Challenge," premiering Sept. 14.

As part of the promotion, celebrity guests will drive a battery-powered Ford Focus in a "Green Car Challenge" for best track times. Ford will preview four electric vehicles that will come to the North American market over the next three years, including a battery-powered version of the Transit Connect next year and a battery electric Focus sedan in 2011.--Karl Greenberg
