New York Times October Numbers

The New York Times Co. said that October pro forma revenues for its newspaper group rose 2.4% compared with a year ago. Advertising revenues for the newspaper group rose 3.1%. Excluding revenues from the company's divested Regionals, and the Telegram & Gazette, ad revenues for the newspaper group rose 10.7% for the year. The company expects to earn $2.05 to $2.10 for the year. Boston Globe October revenues are on par with a year ago, and October Internet traffic is up at the Times' three largest sites. Also, the New York Times Co. reported October Internet traffic increased at its three largest sites, including 79.3% at NYTimes.com, 31.8% Boston.com and 73.1% at newyorktoday.com.
