Agency Execs Shave Heads
The chrome-dome treatment was administered at high noon to mark the agency's achievement of $1.33 million billings in the month of October. Innis Maggiore President Dick Maggiore and his three fellow principals agreed last spring to shave their heads if that mark was met in any month of the year 2000.
The agency also issued $300 spot bonuses to celebrate the feat.
"When we issued this challenge last spring, that level was almost out of reach," Maggiore said. "Now, it's reality. It's amazing what can happen when people work together to find new and different solutions."
As the staff and local media looked on, long-time Canton barber Andy Dasco bestowed baldness on Maggiore; Tom Merrill, VP of client services; Jeff Monter, VP of creative services; and Dan Pecchia, VP of public relations.
Innis Maggiore Group, based in Canton, is an integrated communications firm. The company employs 26 associates and reported 1999 billings of more than $12.5 million. Clients include Republic Technologies International, Aultman Health Foundation, Smithers-Oasis Co., Square Two Golf, Rainbow Rentals, Nickles Bakery and Waikem Auto Group, among others. Innis Maggiore is a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
