Outdoor Channel HD Reels In TWC's NY Market

Outdoor Channel's Outdoor TV has reeled in the nation's largest TV market. The net will now air its fishing, hunting and adventure programming for the first time to Time Warner Cable HD subscribers in New York City, Mount Vernon (New York) and New Jersey. The addition adds a significant number of homes to the subscriber base. TWC and the Outdoor Channel have an existing partnership in more than 150 markets for the cabler to distribute the Outdoor Channel's standard definition, HD and video-on-demand programming. Nielsen estimated that the Outdoor Channel had approximately 31.2 million cable and satellite subscribers for September 2009.
