Publicis Launches Branded Entertainment Unit

  • October 6, 2009
Publicis Monday named Marcus Vinton partner, chief creative officer, and head of Publicis Entertainment, a new branded entertainment unit focusing on TV, gaming and movie content integration deals. Vinton, who had been executive creative director of Ogilvy London before venturing into TV and brand integration for movies, will oversee a global Publicis team that will focus on generating new revenue streams via the development of intellectual properties, buying media, negotiating on-air sponsorship packages, ancillary distribution, syndication and format fees. Publics referred to the services as "black box solutions for channel creation and management." The Publics Entertainment team also includes Samantha Glynne, director of channels/executive producer, who previously worked on channel launches in the U.K. and internationally, most recently on the launch and management of The Audi Channel.
