Ford is boosting National Teen Safe Driving Week with a seat belt-friendly promotion with singer Kate Voegele featured on the hit song "99 Times."

The promo asks teens to write songs about the importance of safe driving. The program, which begins Oct. 23 at DrivingSkillsforLife.com, encourages soloists or combos to send songs that incorporate Ford Driving Skills for Life, the company's nationwide teen safe-driving program that Ford developed in 2003 with the Governors Highway Safety Association.

In the spring, the public and Voegele will select the teen with the most creative and effective song submission for a top prize of savings bonds up to $5,000.--Karl Greenberg
