Traffic to Hotwire.com.com spiked more than 78% to 501,000 visitors, taking the top spot for the fastest growing domain for the week. CheapTickets.com jumped 40%, drawing 379,000 unique visitors. Rounding out the list of fastest growing travel sites, American Airlines rose 35% to 559,000 surfers.
"Online travel has consistently outperformed every other vertical market in e-commerce," said Peggy O'Neill, director and principal analyst at NetRatings.
