'Detroit Daily Press' Debuts Nov. 23

Despite its abysmal local economic climate, Detroit is about to get a third daily newspaper, reports The Detroit News. On Nov. 23, publishers Mark and Gary Stern will drop 200,000 copies of the Detroit Daily Press on doorsteps. The first regular edition will hit newsstands that day, while a home-delivered newspaper is scheduled for Nov. 30. The pub will cost 50 cents, and the Sterns say they need to sell 150,000 copies to break even.
