Cartoon Network's 'Ben 10' Fits Foot Locker

Ben 10

Cartoon Network has a deal with Kids Foot Locker that has the retailer plugging the latest movie in the "Ben 10" franchise, while the network will look to drive traffic to the stores.

Through Dec. 6, customers who purchase a pair of the iconic Converse Chuck Taylor shoes will receive a poster for the "Ben 10: Alien Swarm" film that airs Nov. 25 on Cartoon.

As part of the arrangement, the network will air spots backing Converse and the retailer, while tune-in signage will appear in 300 stores.

John O'Hara, general sales manager at Cartoon Network, states: "It's a strategic marketing alliance that not only continues to increase ("Ben 10's) exposure, but also rewards fans through an immersive experience."

The "Ben 10" animated franchise has been on Cartoon since a pilot in late 2005; a successor series airs on Fridays in prime time. The first series-related film aired in 2007.

In addition to the Foot Locker link, Cartoon is promoting the latest live action film's debut in theaters and on online gaming sites, among other venues.
