The Internet traffic
results for April 2001 versus April 2000 were as follows:
- Page views rose 55% at NYTimes.com, and 45.6% at Boston.com.
- Sessions, or visits, grew 67.3% at NYTimes.com, and 16.2% at
Boston.com.
Reach in local markets continued to improve in April, as NYTimes.com was ranked the number one news site among Internet users in the New York DMA, with a 14.4% reach, and Boston.com was ranked the number one news site in the Boston DMA with a 17.1% reach. NYTimes.com remains the No. 1 newspaper site on the Internet and is now the No. 3 news and information site as well.
