"Street Smarts" Set for Renewal

  • June 14, 2001
The comedy game show "Street Smarts" has been renewed for a second season in broadcast syndication this fall.

While a pickup appeared likely, the renewal is significant, as "Street Smarts" is the last rookie to have its destiny decided.

It joins just three other shows -- "Power of Attorney," "Judge Hatchett" and "To Tell the Truth" -- that will be returning out of some 10 new syndicated daily programs launched during the 2000-01 TV season.

"Street Smarts" is cleared for fall on 140 TV stations representing more than 90 percent of the country. It will air in the top two markets on indies WLNY New York and KCAL Los Angeles.

Frank Nicotero hosts the show created by Scott St. John. It's a Dawn Syndicated Production in association with Entertain the Brutes and Telepictures Prods. Telepictures Distribution distributes the show.
