CD Recording Software Leader Chooses Mediasmith

Roxio, Inc., maker of CD burning software, has selected the San Francisco office of Mediasmith Inc. as its agency for media planning and buying for all offline media. Mediasmith tasks will be to support the launch of the Roxio brand as well as promote sales of the Easy CD Creator, Toast and GoBack brands. The incumbent was JWT Technology in San Jose. For the fiscal year 2001, Roxio will spend a projected $12 million in offline media. As Roxio's media agency, Mediasmith will be providing full media services, including planning and buying capabilities for all traditional media.
