FreeAllMusic.com, an ad-sponsored digital music download service, began a private beta this week. The service's first sponsors include major brands like Coca-Cola, Warner Bros. Television, Zappos.com and LG, among others who sponsor the downloads. Users get a brief commercial in exchange for each MP 3 download, reports Brandweek . The service does not require a software installation and is iPod-compatible. FreeAllMusic.com is offering 15 to 20 free downloads per month, every Tuesday. Users must select a brand to sponsor the download.

This intrigues, esp. the iTunes compatibility and free parts... it will be curious to see the size, nature, depth and range of the catalog. Are they doing direct deals with the labels? Inquiring minds want a private beta peak! ; >
